I remember after a (very eventful) trip for year 7 with my secondary school, I got to spend the weekend with you, Mick, at a caravan park. You were sat writing in a book I thought was crosswords - except it wasn't. You were writing out a sudoku. And for the next half an hour or more, you sat teaching me about how to do a sudoku, another lesson among some of the many others you taught me.
Now whenever I do a sudoku, I think of you and I hope that I have done you proud in practicing it since the day you taught me. Whenever I have taken the time to pass on my knowledge of how to do sudokus to others, I feel both blessed and grateful that it was you who had taught me. Because you didn't just teach me a skill - you taught me how to treat others how I would like to be treated myself. And that by far is one of the most valuable lessons I have learnt from anyone, especially as you were there to keep gently reminding me. Even now, you and my memories of you still do.
So thank you, Mick. I keep this memory close in my heart and hope that you know that I and many others miss you very much xxx
